The Taliban government has accused Pakistan of carrying out overnight airstrikes in Afghanistan’s eastern provinces, resulting in civilian casualties.
Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban government, said Pakistani military aircraft violated Afghanistan’s airspace and bombed civilian homes in Kunar, Khost, and Paktika provinces.
According to Fitrat, the attacks killed 13 civilians, including 11 children, one woman, and one elderly man. He added that 14 other women and children were injured.
The Taliban government condemned the strikes, describing them as a “humanitarian crime” and an act of aggression, and called on the international community to take notice of the incident.
